«Obtura» Vascular Closure Device
The Obtura™ is a mechanical vascular closure system for closure of femoral arterial puncture, designed to provide rapid hemostasis with an anchor–collagen plug mechanism. It is easy to use, operates in 3 steps, and aims to reduce blood loss, shorten procedural time, and enable earlier patient ambulation. Obtura is designed to be introduced through any market sheath of 6-8 Fr size.

Advantages
- The anchor and collagen plug “sandwich” the arteriotomy and achieve rapid closure.
- Compatible with the existing introducer sheath, with no need for sheath exchange.
- The implant is fully absorbed within 90 days.
- It has an ergonomic design and requires minimal assistance.
- The simple 3-step procedure reduces procedure time.
