«OptoWire - Pressure Guidewire»
The OptoWire™ is an innovative optical guidewire for the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, which directly measures pressure (FFR) using optical fiber technology. With exceptional accuracy, zero drift, rapid use, and no need for adenosine, it provides the cardiologist with strong confidence for optimal decision-making during the intervention. OptoWire provides better maneuverability for the doctor, thanks to its concentric design. Furthermore, the need for constant equalizing is eliminated.

Advantages
- Optical Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) technology for accurate pressure measurement without electronic components
- Measures full FFR, instantaneous diastolic pressure ratio (dPR), with a single system
- >95% agreement with standard FFR, accuracy 0.99 Pearson correlation
- <2 minutes for reliable FFR assessment, with no need for adenosine in dPR mode
- No contrast required, reducing the risk of nephrotoxicity
Use
The OptoWire is used for diagnosis of coronary artery disease and functional assessment of lesions during coronary angiography.
- FFR (Fractional Flow Reserve): Evaluation of the hemodynamic significance of lesions (>0.80 = non-significant, <0.80 = significant)
- dPR (diastolic pressure ratio): FFR without adenosine, for rapid diagnosis
- Diffuse disease: Evaluation of diffuse lesions with multiple FFR measurements
- Post-PCI optimization: Verification of optimal result after angioplasty
