«OptoWire - Pressure Guidewire»
The OptoWire™ is an innovative optical guidewire for the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, which directly measures pressure (FFR) and blood flow velocity using optical fiber technology. With exceptional accuracy, rapid use, and no need for iodine, it provides the cardiologist with strong confidence for optimal decision-making during the intervention.

Advantages
- Optical Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) technology for accurate pressure measurement without electronic components.
- Measures full FFR, instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR), and blood flow with a single system.
- >95% agreement with standard FFR, accuracy 0.99 Pearson correlation
- <2 minutes for reliable FFR assessment, with no need for adenosine in iFR mode.
- No contrast required, reducing the risk of nephrotoxicity.
Use
The OptoWire is used for diagnosis of coronary artery disease and functional assessment of lesions during coronary angiography.
FFR (Fractional Flow Reserve): Evaluation of the hemodynamic significance of lesions (>0.80 = non-significant, <0.80 = significant).
iFR (instantaneous wave-free ratio): FFR without adenosine, for rapid diagnosis.
Flow measurement: Measurement of blood flow for optimal assessment.
Diffuse disease: Evaluation of diffuse lesions with multiple FFR measurements.
Bifurcation lesions: Assessment of side branch flow.
Post-PCI optimization: Verification of optimal result after angioplasty.
