«PerQseal Elite» Large-Bore Vascular Closure Device
PerQseal Elite™ is a large-bore vascular closure device from Haemonetics, designed for percutaneous closure of common femoral arterial and venous punctures following interventional endovascular procedures. It uses a 100% bioabsorbable, patch-based mechanism made of PDO (Polydioxanone), that seals the vessel from the inside, reduces bleeding into the tissue tract, and allows the vessel to return to its natural state over time. The site can be re-punctured in 90 days and the fixator is fully absorbed in 180 days. PerQseal Elite is designed to be used without pre-procedural dependence.

Advantages
- Suitable for arterial or venous puncture
- Repuncture after 3 months
- The patch is fully absorbed in about 6 months
- It seals from the inside of the vessel, reducing blood leakage into the tissue tract
- Indicated for 14–22F sheaths
- Minimal deployment steps and simple procedure
- Compatible with a 0.035 guidewire, maintaining safety access
Use
PerQseal Elite is used for femoral‑artery puncture‑site closure after endovascular procedures that require large‑bore access.
It is suitable for:
- Femoral endovascular therapies
- Large‑bore vascular closure after TAVI, TAVR, endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), and other major endovascular therapies
- Cases where a patch‑based, bioabsorbable solution is preferred instead of a permanent implant
Advantages:
Bioabsorbable material made of PDO (Polydioxanone)
Internal closure without leaving a permanent implant
Simple, rapid deployment
Designed specifically for large‑bore access
Low rates of hematoma and pseudoaneurysm
